Google today remembered the Malayalam and English writer Kamla Das's
bestseller My Story by creating a doodle.Artist Manjeet Thap has made Today's Google Doodle.
On this day in 1976, Kamala
Das released her autobiography, 'My Story'. Through every upheaval in her life,
Kamala Das never gave up on writing poetry and prose.Kamala Das was also written by the name of Madhavikutty.
She fell in love with poetry from an early age. At the age of 15 she was married to Madhava Das, a banker by profession. Her husband encouraged her to write, and she started publishing her works both in English and Malayalam.

Kamla das once said in an interview "I do not like the Hindu Process of cremation of the dead. I do not want to burn my body. This can be small reason.but I have a special attachment to the Islamic lifestyle. She was born in the traditiona Hindi Nair Family. Kamala Das adopted Islam on December 11,1999 at the age of 65 and became Kamala Suraiya.

Vidya balan says her perspective on Kamala das's life was different from Director Kamal's.
As we know Film is being made on Kamla Das's life named 'Ami' and Manju Warrior plays the lead role in it. Although there was talk of taking Vidya Balan earlier in the film. But they pulled the hand from working in it.The reason was unknow for us till now.All we knew was that the actress called it quits five days prior to the shoot of the film due to creative differences.
As per the intrview, Vidya explained,"Though I have heard a lot about writer Madhavikutty, I didn't knew much about her and once I started reading about her and also talking to her friends and relatives, I was able to understand her as a person and I found that she was someone who had a magnificent personaity. But I found out that my perspective of her is totally different from the director's. So I decided to move out blaming creative differences."
'Vidya liked the script and still would like to do the film. But something was added to the final script at the last moment which she didn't approve of.
